This day after celebrating the 4th of July, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty, where the rubber hits the road, with some reality of Truth, and that is you are not the political government, however you are self-governing. Because there are two kinds of government, i.e., political and self-government.
Legal definition of “govern” states, “To direct and control the actions or conduct of, either by established laws or by arbitrary Will; to direct and control, rule or regulate, by authority. To be a rule, precedent, law or deciding principle for…”
When we speak of government we automatically think of City, County, State or Federal political government. If we think and speak of self-government, we specify as “self” to distinguish between the two. Therefore when I use the term government, like others, I mean political government.
In the founding documents, the editorial term, “we” is used. “We the People” and “We hold these truths to be self-evident…” Which implies, we the politically governed in charge. But we are not; those elected in seats of power are in charge. However we are in charge of governing ourselves.
When the Declaration of Independence was written, it stated: “The history of the present King of Great Britian is a history of repeated injuries and ursurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these States. To prove this, let the facts be submitted to a candid world…” July 4th, 1776.
I suggest to you, the reader, today we are living under a system of government, implemented by less than 600 elected politicians. We are living under repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of absolute tyranny over these States.
Some, but not nearly all, set this up and let it happen by voting into power this small number, who write the script, pull the curtain, and act out the power they have enacted in laws they placed in motion over all the 300 million-plus citizens here in this country.
No, we the people are not the government, and only a partial number of voters, via disguised coercian, have sanctioned the power exerted today, to rule over all of us. Many in that number of voters are under the illusion that they can influence the direction they the elected have taken us, by campaigns of letter writing to the elected.
Many of the elected are lawyers, who have read the U.S. Constitution of laws. Therefore they must have some understanding of laws they pass, and whether or not they are commensurate with the intentions of the Constitution, or in opposition to it.
When lengthy laws, consisting of hundreds of pages, created by politicians, presented for voting and approval by the body of elected politicians that appear to be interpreted by many voters as being in violation of the Constitution, letter writing to congressmen is initiated by groups and individuals. So what happens? It may be shelved for a period of time, and re-written, while the liberal news media propagandizes, with socialist leaning reporting, and after the letter writers think they have successfully defeated legislation they objected to, a new bill, with changes in the wording, to whatever it presents, comes up again, after objections die down, and passes by a majority of the elected.
The same modus operandi repeated over and over until we are a nation living under a slew of laws, impeding personal freedom and Property Rights, to a point we have a different system of socialism in this country today.
So burdened down with massive laws of restriction on individuals, we are dazzled by the footwork of those in seats of power, and seemingly powerless to do anything about it at this point. Still under the illusion that we the people are in charge of the government, when it is obvious we are not. Those who control the centralized system are a few elected, in charge with excessive power over a once free people.
Where we stand on conditions and issues today will not be reversed so long as We the people think and believe we are in charge. Nothing anyone has done in the past, in any way, form nor fashion, has stopped nor slowed down, the trek towards a totalitarian system of political government, in this Nation of a once free people.
Neither the laws of the Constitution nor the people now in charge, but a handful of power-hungry politicians now in charge. Continously grinding out more and more massive laws of control over the people, while the people are so propagandized that they still believe they have some clout and are in charge.
Still believing they can exercise those “inalienable Rights” as outlined in the founding documents this country thrived on in the beginning.
As Dr. Phil says, “One can’t change that which one does not acknowledge.”
We are now a nation of majority so brainwashed and indoctrinated via the public school system, liberal left-wing press, and power hungry crooked politicians, and so addicted to the nanny state, we are delusional, still believing we the people are in charge. We have abandoned the basic tenet of Freedom, which is self-government, self responsibility and self-control, required to be free. Plus as Thomas Jefferson stated, “Freedom requires eternal vigilance.” We have ignored that advice by thinking “others” are in a better position and smarter to run our lives than we ourselves.
Remember the co-partner of the communist leader, Eva Peron, singing, “Don’t cry for me Argentina?”
While half the people who produce in this nation, bemoan the fact it’s difficult to maintain their business, because of being over-burdened via taxes, and the other half, crying for more doles, and free lunches, we are at a cross-roads between the devil and the deep blue sea, as the Southern saying goes.
To change anything, we must begin by admitting “We the people are not in charge,” instead, a handful of greedy power grabbers in the three branches of government, specifically 545 individuals, are now in control.
Again I repeat what Lincoln said, “The people are the rightful masters of both Congresses and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitutition.”
